Biography
Galaktlan is producer and recording artist Taavi Laatsit. He is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
Galaktlan created “Wolfenlied,” in response to Sparrow Hall’s short story, Two Blue Wolves. The song is featured on the Two Blue Wolves Soundtrack.
Taavi has been producing electronic music for more than a decade. His Galaktlan project began in 2000, releasing two albums and a number of tracks featured on various music compilations.
Galaktlan's music is based primarily on harmonies and melodies, bringing an organic feel to his electronic compositions. In 2005, the Galaktlan project grew into a 4-member live band called Galaktlan Grupp as an experiment in translating electronic music into a live performance without the aid of sequencers or computers.
Outside of Galaktlan, Taavi has composed music for a number of experimental short films.
